Ad Movere (Move On).

People - "It's okay, just leave it and Move on; It is all over now, just move On; What happened is now in the past, let it go and MOVE ON!"

It is quite easy to say the words Move on to someone, however the process seems rather difficult.

Imagine yourself dancing in your newly brought or favourite set of clothes, you are dancing around with a glass of red wine in your hand. The ambiance is good, the music is just right and you are moving around sipping your wine, each sip brings you closer to being on cloud nine. Suddenly someone pushes you or because of your butterfingers you spill the red wine on your clothes. You are, now in a sudden state of panic even though the ambiance and music are still the same. You don't know what to do if it's your first time experiencing something like this, those who have experience know that your goal is to try and remove the red wine stains and if possible save your clothes.

The most important thing you should know about red wine stains is that if you do not respond quickly and treat the stain immediately or your clothes might be ruined for good. Because the pigments of the red wine soak into cloth fibres quickly and get set right away, so the longer you let it stay, or use heat to get things over quickly you end up ruining your clothes. Remember, if you act on time and find the ingredients needed to remove the stains you can still save your clothes.  If it does get stained and you do not wish to throw it away you can use your creativity or get help and transform your clothes, give it a new and refined look.

So to Move On does not mean you have to move on  from a person/thing/situation because all these are momentary in nature, they will move ahead or on whether you like it or not. Moving on has more to do with your own feelings and thoughts that make you feel like you are stuck in a loop. This loop was created by you to replace the void left by that person/thing/situation. You see it's not about panicking about the spilled wine or crying over your stained clothes but more about deciding on the measures and treating the stains. Now, how much of the stains you remove depends upon the timing, tactic and treatment you give to the stained clothes.

Whether it was you or someone else responsible for staining your clothes, doesn't really matter. What matters is  accepting they are stained and whether you want to act and remove the stains, recycle them or throw your clothes away. There are multiple lessons and outcomes this experience can offer to you only if you are ready to accept and learn from them.

If you ask me, I would suggest - " Start living, stop thinking. Accept and resolve your own feelings, give yourself time to remember all that you are thankful for and focus on/have things to look forward to and you'll move on.!"

  1. Nicely put together.... i liked how the stained dress was compared with real life instances such as a breakup. Lastly, i personally can relate to being stuck in a loop, so felt insightful to understand why im i doing what im doing.
