Isayaw mo ako (Make Me Dance)

''Mia, smile wider child! You are a dancer for God's sake"...." Your moves are graceful but you look lifeless, try to smile from within"...."I don't know anymore! Go stand outside and smile for an hour!" How to smile from within? I have forgotten what it feels like. I can curve up the corners of my mouth when you say smile, however, the warmth that you are asking me to feel ceased to exist. I stood there curving up the corners of my mouth watching people pass by and ''smile'' wondering if they feel the warmth as well. Should I ask them if they feel the warmth, will I sound stupid if I did? Why should I even smile when I dance? I can remember my steps and the way my body moves along with the rhythm. I can feel all those eyes glaring at me and as I look at the mirror on the wall I can feel the coldness too. The music is upbeat and gleeful, the steps are robust and zestful...only I feel like I am standing all alone drenched in the p
